Pocono Raceway Partners with Coca-Cola Refreshments

Coca-Cola, Dasani and Monster Energy Become Official Drinks of Pocono Raceway

LONG POND, PA (June 1, 2015) – Pocono Raceway announced today a partnership with Coca-Cola Refreshments as Coca-Cola becomes the “Official Soft Drink of Pocono Raceway,” Dasani becomes the “Official Water of Pocono Raceway” and Monster Energy becomes the “Official Energy Drink of Pocono Raceway.” These products, along with Sprite, Diet Coke and Coke Zero, will be available at concession stands throughout the raceway for all upcoming NASCAR and INDYCAR events, including the upcoming Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 race weekend.

“We are very excited to welcome Coca-Cola Refreshments to our family of partners,” said Brandon Igdalsky, Pocono Raceway President/CEO. “Coca-Cola is a world-renowned company and we are proud to have them be a part of our events this year. I cannot wait to ‘Share a Coke’ with all our great motorsports fans this summer.”

Additionally, Coca-Cola branded recycling bins will be located throughout the facility for fans to utilize by recycling their plastic bottles and aluminum cans. This new initiative adds to the Raceway’s “Go Green, It’s Not That Tricky” campaign for the betterment of the environment. ‘The Tricky Triangle’ is the world-largest, privately-owned sports facility powered by solar power with their own 25-acre, 3 megawatt solar farm. Energy not used by the track is transferred to the power grid where it provides electricity for local homes and businesses.

“The partnership with Coca-Cola is a major plus for our sustainability goals,” said Igdalsky. “We care a great deal for the environment and in making it a better place for many generations after us. The recycling efforts Coca-Cola has already attained are tremendous and we hope we can add to them during our major events. We urge all fans to recycle their plastic and aluminum bottles while attending the races this summer and at home.”

Tickets to the Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 on Sunday, June 7, start at $45 for adults. Kids tickets, for children ages 12 and under, start at $22.50. For tickets and more information, call 1-800-RACEWAY or visit www.poconoraceway.com
