A LOOK BACK ON MICHIGAN
While Poole is driving the DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro this weekend, Kyle Larson was behind the wheel of the ParkerStore Chevrolet Camaro last weekend in Michigan. Larson started fourth, giving HSMCG their best starting position of the year. The team made slight chassis adjustments and continually improved the car as the race progressed. On a pit stop around halfway, the team decided to take fuel only in the interest of gaining track position lost from the start of the race. The move proved to pay off as Larson charged to a race-high second position with less than 20 laps to go. On the final restart of the race with 10 laps to go, Larson got a tremendous push from the car behind him and was able to move back up to third place, where he ultimately finished. This marked Larson’s first top-five finish of the 2015 XFINITY Series season.
BRENNAN POOLE ON CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY
“Chicago is one of my favorite 1.5-mile tracks that I have been to. It has several grooves with a surface that is slightly worn, which makes it a lot of fun to race on. Kyle (Larson) had a great run last week in Michigan and I am hoping to continue the momentum this weekend in Chicago.”
