RHODES READY FOR DAYTONA

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Harrison Rhodes has been targeting Saturday’s Subway Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway for months.

Rhodes, a rookie, was all set to start his first full Xfinity Series season in February at Daytona when disaster struck. He was an innocent victim of a crash in group qualifying and failed to make the starting field.

“That was a tough day for us, but we intend to make that up this week,” Rhodes said. “You never want to miss a race anywhere, but it was especially hard at Daytona and in the first race of the year. But it was out of our hands. We know we have a good car going back, so we’re ready to roll and to have a big July 4th.”
Rhodes is 23rd in Xfinity driver points entering the race.
Practice is scheduled at DIS at 2 and 4 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 2:35 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 7:30 p.m.
