CASSILL RETURNS FOR DAYTONA

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Landon Cassill returns to the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 01 Chevrolet this week to tackle Daytona International Speedway in Saturday’s Subway Firecracker 250 Xfinity Series race.

Cassill had last week off for a special event and missed the race at Chicagoland Speedway. He’s back this week with Flex Seal sponsorship in the 01 car.
Cassill has a productive history at Daytona. He finished third in an XFINITY Series race at the 2.5-mile track in 2011. He has competed in seven Sprint Cup, five Xfinity and one Camping World Truck race at DIS.
“It’s a great track and one of the best places we race,” Cassill said. “I’m anxious to get back in the Flex Seal Chevy after a week away. And Daytona is one of my best tracks, so we’re ready to go.”
Cassill finished 31st in the season-opening race at Daytona, so he’ll be looking for a big improvement this weekend.
Practice is scheduled at Daytona at 2 and 4 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 2:35 p.m., with the holiday race scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
