ADVANCE NOTES
Buescher at Iowa Speedway
This weekend, Chris Buescher returns to the site of his first win of the 2015 season, Iowa Speedway.
Earlier this season, Buescher powered his No. 60 Roush Performance Ford Mustang to Victory Lane. When the final caution flag of the day came out as the field came to take the white flag, crew chief Scott Graves gambled and called his driver down pit road for right side tires. Buescher exited pit road as the first driver with fresh tires. The 22-year-old driver lined up third for the final restart. A strong move and a push from his teammate, Bubba Wallace catapulted Buescher to the lead for the green-white-checker finish. Buescher would go on to win his first race of the 2015 season. Buescher led 94 of 259 laps to capture Roush Fenway’s fifth win at Iowa Speedway in the last 11 races.
In a total of three NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Iowa Speedway, Buescher has one win, and three top-15 finishes. In addition Buescher has completed all 759 laps in his three starts, leading 94 laps.
Buescher also has four ARCA Racing Series starts at Iowa Speedway, where he earned two top-five finishes, a fourth-place result in 2009 and a third-place result in 2011. In his four starts, Buescher started no lower than 14th and finished no lower than 13th.

Recapping Indianapolis Motor Speedway

QUOTE WORTHY
Chris Buescher on racing at Iowa Speedway
“I am very happy to be going back to Iowa this weekend, where we got our first win of 2015. We have worked hard to try and get better this time around, because we know it will be a tough short track race. The race groove widened out last time and made for a really good race. Hopefully we get similar conditions this time. We will have a good Salted Nut Roll Ford Mustang and hope to get our third win of the year.”
