CASSILL 18th AT RICHMOND

RICHMOND, Va. – Landon Cassill had another solid outing in Friday night’s Virginia529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway, finishing 18th at the three-quarter-mile track.

Cassill qualified 21st in the Valvoline Chevrolet and raced as high as 17th.

“The Valvoline Chevy ran pretty well for us tonight,” Cassill said. “We had a good run – just couldn’t get up there and race with the front group. The car looked great. We got a lot of compliments on the design.”

Valvoline and MileOne Automotive sponsored Cassill’s 01 car for the race.

Cassill stayed 18th in Xfinity Series driver points.

Chase Elliott won the race, and Chris Buescher stayed in the point lead. Elliott is second.

The series moves on to Chicagoland Speedway for a Sept. 19 race.
