CHASTAIN CONTINUES ROCKIN’ ROOKIE YEAR

JOLIET, Ill. – Now 13th in Xfinity Series points, Ross Chastain will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet with sponsorship from Gerber Collision & Glass in Saturday’s Furious 7 300 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Chastain is having a fine rookie season, having scored four top 10s this year, including a ninth-place run in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. He is third in rookie points.

Chastain has raced in two Xfinity events and one Camping World Truck Series race at Chicagoland. He was 18th at Chicagoland earlier this year.

“Chicagoland is fast, and a lot happens quickly,” Chastain said. “I’m looking forward to getting back there and giving it another shot. We’ve run well lately, so there is no reason we can’t be successful there with a strong finish.”

Practice is scheduled at 2 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 2:45 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 6 p.m.
