No. 43 WinField Team Confident for Strong Run at Charlotte

Armstrong Looks to Continue Season Trend of High Performance at Intermediate Tracks

The NASCAR XFINITY Series races at home this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). The No. 43 WinField Ford team looks forward to a strong performance in front of the hometown crowd. With Top-15 finishes at the last two mile-and-a-half tracks, the team looks to transform that momentum into another impressive run. With just 20 points separating 14th from 11th in the Championship Standings, Dakoda Armstrong can make serious headway with a solid finish. Currently, Armstrong sits 14th in the XFINITY Series Championship Point Standings, just one point behind 13th position.

Armstrong has six prior starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway between the XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series. His best finish at the track was 12th place in the 2013 truck race. As an organization, CMS has been a good track for RPM. In seven starts, the company has two Top-10 finishes and never finished outside of the Top-20.

“We’ve had good speed at the last two intermediate tracks. Last year, these tracks were a weakness for us. Now, they are our strong point. I think that speaks volumes for this team. We’re continuing to develop. Tires are very important here. Normally, you don’t have many caution flags, so you don’t get many opportunities to make adjustments throughout the night and have to make your tires last over a long green flag run. We performed well here in the spring and at similar style tracks over the past few weeks. I’m confident we’ll run well this weekend.”
