ADVANCE NOTES

Biffle at Talladega

Biffle has 25 Sprint Cup Series starts at Talladega, earning three top-five and six top-10 finishes.

One Year Ago at Talladega

Biffle proved to be one of the fastest cars during the race, leading the way for 58 laps.  Biffle came up one caution flag shy of a win, leaving Talladega with a second-place finish.

Earlier this Season at Talladega

Greg Biffle was one of 15 competitors collected in the “big one” at Talladega Superspeedway just 47 laps into the 188-lap race.  Biffle had worked his way up inside the top 15 after adjustments for a loose handling Ford before being collected in the accident.  After lengthy repairs in the garage, Biffle returned to the track to gain back a few positions and cross the finish line 37th.

In the Points

Biffle is currently 20th in the point standings.

Biffle on Talladega:

“I’m really looking forward to Talladega this weekend.  Having a fast car, staying up front and having good pit stops is what it will take to be there at the end and to put yourself in contention for a win.  We’ve had some good runs at Talladega, but nobody ever knows what’s going to happen, we’ll have to wait and see.”

Puccia on Talladega:

“We have a good Superspeedway program and have always had a lot of success at Talladega and Daytona.  Getting a good qualifying position on Saturday will be important, not only for track position to start the race but also getting a good pit selection.”
