G&K Services To Sponsor Preece, JD Motorsports

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – G&K Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: GK) announced Wednesday the sponsorship of JD Motorsports with Gary Keller’s new driver Ryan Preece and the No. 01 Chevrolet for the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity series.

The season-opening race is scheduled Saturday at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. The race will be broadcast on FS1 starting at 3:30 pm Eastern Time.

“Ryan Preece brings a promising background to the JD Motorsports team, and we’re thrilled to have him represent G&K,” said Dave Euson, G&K’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “We’ve had a terrific relationship with JD Motorsports and NASCAR and look forward to the energy and excitement of the new season.”

“We’ve had a strong partnership with G&K Services for the past seven years,” said Johnny Davis, JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team owner. “We’re very excited about Ryan joining the team and about the new Chase format for the Xfinity Series. It’s my goal to have the G&K Services Chevy in the Chase. We are looking forward to our best season yet.”

Preece made his NASCAR debut in 2007 racing in the tough Whelen Modified Series. He brings a strong resume to JD Motorsports, finishing as runner-up in 2009 and 2012 before becoming the youngest NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion in tour history in 2013. Preece made his Xfinity Series debut in 2013 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Preece will be racing his first full Xfinity Series this season and will compete for Rookie of the Year.
