PREECE READY TO BOUNCE BACK

HAMPTON, Ga. – After a tough opening week, Ryan Preece is ready to hit the track at Atlanta Motor Speedway for Saturday’s Heads Up Georgia 250.

A blown tire early in the race left Preece with a disappointing finish last week in his debut race for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller at Daytona International Speedway.

“Daytona was a tough day, but you have to move on from stuff like that,” said Preece, who will drive the G&K Services/Kubota Tractors No. 01 Chevrolet Saturday. “We’ve got a good car for Atlanta, and we’re looking forward to showing what we can do there. It’s time to take the next step.”

Saturday’s race will be Preece’s first at the fast 1.5-mile track.

Practice is scheduled at AMS at 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 8:35 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 1:30 p.m.
