No. 43 J. Streicher Team Showed Strength in their Intermediate Program
Jeb Burton and the No. 43 J. Streicher team head west with a Top-10 finish under their belts. Last weekend, the Richard Petty Motorsports XFINITY Series team showed strength in their intermediate track program, running in the Top-10 all race and finishing 10th. Headed to the second 1.5-mile track this season, they are confident they can follow up with another top finish and continue moving forward in the Championship Point Standings. They currently are 12th in points and just two points outside of the Top 10.
Similar to last weekend in Atlanta, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is fairly new for Burton. He has just three NASCAR Series starts at the 1.5-mile track. In his three starts, he finished once in the Top-10 (eighth in the Truck Series) and twice in the Top-15.
“I was very proud of the way we raced last weekend in Atlanta. We’re a new team and to see how quickly things came together is encouraging. We’re only going to get better. Vegas, like Atlanta, is a pretty wore out track. I think we’ll be able to build upon last weekend and run in the Top-10 again this week. We’re right on the cusp of the Top-10 in points and definitely in the hunt for the Championship with this new Chase format. I’m excited to get back to racing this weekend.”
