Last Time at Vegas

Biffle started 16th and searched for front turn most of the race, but continuously logged solid lap times and even held off a hard charging race leader to finish 14th.

The Key to Racing at Vegas from Greg Biffle

“The key to Las Vegas is getting over the bumps.  It’s a fairly smooth track but in the corner we’ve got our cars right down on the race track.  Little bit of bumps in the middle, you either have to try and get below them or above them, splitting them sometimes doesn’t work anymore with how low the cars are.  There are bumps down in One and Two and just getting a good balanced car on both ends of the track is a challenge.  It’s kind of weird how Three and Four are.  Sometimes you can kind of run up the race track and it’s not a normal 1.5-mile track where we can make that second groove all the time work, but we have seen it push up there.  That and it’s fairly difficult to get to pit road for a standard 1.5-mile race track.”

Biffle on Las Vegas:

“I love the city of Las Vegas and I love the race track.  We run well there and it’s our first race of the season with Cheez-it on the car.  It takes a lot of things to win at Vegas.  Track position is crucial.  We’ve been really close to winning in the Cup car before and hopefully this is it.”

Pattie on Las Vegas:

“We’ve been working hard getting all the cars ready for this upcoming west coast swing.  Having some extra track time on Thursday with the testing day in Vegas will help us get dialed in for the weekend.  We had some speed in Atlanta in the Roush camp and look to carry that over into Vegas.”
