ADVANCE NOTES

Reed at Las Vegas

Ryan Reed has two starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS), finishing 15th in both 2014 and 2015. The last time the NXS visited LVMS, Reed fought an ill-handling car for most of the day, but avoided several on-track incidents to fight for a top-15 finish.

Reed also has one start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at LVMS in 2012 where he finished 17th after starting the race in the 18th position.

Reed at 1.5-mile tracks

Reed finished 11th at the 1.5-mile tracks of Chicagoland Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2015, recording two of his highest finishes of the season outside of his season-opening win at Daytona.

Atlanta Recap

The No. 16 team finished 17th at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday after showing speed all weekend. The team was running inside the top 10 when a pit road speeding penalty halted their march to the front of the field.

Reed on Vegas

“I have a love-hate relationship with Vegas, but I’m particularly excited to go there this time given the speed we had at Atlanta last weekend. I think we really turned some heads with what we brought and given this is another 1.5-mile track we should be able to do the same. Being from the west coast, Vegas is also fun for me because I get to see a lot of friends and family.”

Ride of a Lifetime

On Thursday, March 3rd, Reed will ride with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds based out of Nellis Air Force Base. The 22-year-old driver will take flight high above Las Vegas in an F-16 and could experience a g-force of over 5 G’s.

Meet Ryan

Reed and his fellow Roush Fenway Racing drivers will be joined by Jack Roush for an autograph session on Friday, March 4th at 9 a.m. PT at the Fanatics Trackside Superstore at LVMS.

Reed and teammate Bubba Wallace will sign autographs at the LVMS Ford Display at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, March 4th.
