B.J. McLeod Motorsports “Locks” In New Partner For Bristol Motor Speedway

BRISTOL, Tennessee (April 14, 2016) – – Officials from B.J. McLeod Motorsports (BJMM) announced today that the team has signed Main Gates as the primary marketing partner for driver B.J. McLeod’s No. 78 Ford Mustang this weekend at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

Eight years ago, during Florida’s worst ever housing slump, Main Gate Enterprises began with the office in the owner’s home and the equipment in an old barn on an abandoned dairy farm. In 2016, the company will be operating out of a 35,000 square foot facility in Wauchula, Fla.

Main Gate builds its reputation on exceptional service, attentive customer service and proudly being the only gate company in Florida that has both a state licensed building contractor, as well as a state licensed electrical contractor on staff.

“We’re extremely proud to continue our long-standing relationship and move our sponsorship into the NASCAR XFINITY Series with B.J. McLeod,” said Chip Knight, founder and CEO of Main Gate Enterprises. “With B.J. being from Wauchula, we tend to rally around our athletes from this area with our investment in NASCAR being popular with our customers and the community alike. We wish B.J. and the team the best of luck Saturday afternoon.”

For McLeod, the 32-year-old owner / driver in the XFINITY Series, he is thrilled to have the opportunity to partner again with not only a friend, but someone from his hometown.

“Main Gate has been around for most of my racing career and been incredibly supportive,” said McLeod who will make his XFINITY Series debut at the .533-mile short track in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300. “For them to see the value of sponsorship in Motorsports is important and we want to continue to do our job on and off the track – so they keep coming back. I’m excited to have Chip with us this weekend and hope we reel in a good finish for everyone at Main Gate, including their employees and customers.”

This weekend at Bristol brings back the popular Dash4Cash incentive, but also introduces heat races which will make up the starting field for the 300-lap Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300. While McLeod, a successful entrepreneur by trade is eager to see how the new style pans out, he says for a growing team like his, the heat races will be risk vs. reward.

“Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea and concept, but we have to think long-term,” added McLeod. “We’re going to be in one of those heat races and go out there and do our job and pray that nothing happens. Without having the ability to have a backup for the “main” event, we just need to have the cautious approach to make sure we’re around for when it counts the most. We’ll see how it goes this weekend in Bristol, then have a better idea of what to expect for Richmond, Dover and Indianapolis down the road.”

Veteran industry crew chief George (David) Ingram Jr. will call the shots for the No. 78 Main Gate Ford Mustang for the seventh race of the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series season.
