ADVANCE NOTES

Biffle at Talladega
Biffle has 26 Sprint Cup Series starts at Talladega, earning three top-five and six top-10 finishes.
One Year Ago at Talladega
Greg Biffle was one of 15 competitors collected in the “big one” at Talladega Superspeedway just 47 laps into the 188-lap race. Biffle had worked his way inside the top 15 after adjustments for a loose handling Ford, before being collected in the accident. After lengthy repairs in the garage, Biffle returned to the track to gain back a few positions and cross the finish line 37th.

Last Fall at Talladega
Greg Biffle once again flexed his fuel saving muscles and almost left Talladega Superspeedway with the win Sunday afternoon. Biffle stayed out while others pitted and had saved enough fuel to make it to the end when a caution came out and an extended cleanup period ensued. Biffle had to relinquish the lead and come down pit road for fuel due to the extra cleanup time. Biffle was able to make up a few positions on the race ending green-white-checkered finish to cross the finish line 20th.

On the Car

The No. 16 Fusion carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend in Talladega. Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.

Biffle on Talladega:
“Talladega is always exciting, always full of unknowns and I think the key to success is track position at the end. Picking the right lane, Talladega is super wide; we can be four or five wide coming to the start/finish line. You never know what’s going to happen.”
