Brian Scott Returns to Home of First NASCAR Start

Shaw’s, Shore Lodge to Adorn the Hood of No. 44 Ford Fusion

If there is one word to describe Brian Scott’s season through the first 18 of 36 races, it’s perseverance. After being caught in a wreck at Kentucky Speedway that kept the No. 44 team in the garage making repairs for almost half of the race, the team persevered and repaired Scott’s Ford Fusion to get him back on track and make up a few positions to finish the race. While Scott will make his first Sprint Cup Series start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend, the 1.06-mile track almost feels like home, as it is the track where Scott made his first NASCAR career start in 2007.

Since his first career start in the Camping World Truck Series in 2007, Scott has three Truck Series starts, two of those finishing in the Top-10. Scott has also made six XFINITY Series starts, starting in the Top-10 in five of those starts and bringing home one Top-Five, two Top-10 and three Top-15 finishes.

Shaw’s Supermarket will make their debut on the hood of the No. 44 Ford Fusion this weekend in New Hampshire. Shaw’s is one of the oldest continuously operated supermarkets in the United States with New England roots dating back to 1860, when George C. Shaw opened the first store in Portland, Maine. A few years later, Maynard A. Davis opened the first ‘Public Markets’ in New Bedford and Brockton, Massachusetts. Throughout five New England States, there are 154 store locations employing approximately 19,000 employees.

Fans will be able to meet Scott at two locations this weekend in New Hampshire.

“I love Loudon. It’s the site of my first ever NASCAR start in the Camping World Truck Series in 2007. I feel like it was a good track for me in the XFINITY Series, and I’m looking forward to getting back there. Last year, unfortunately we were running second and we blew an engine, and I felt like we had a car capable of the win. It’s a neat place. I feel like the fans support Loudon, it’s a great area and it’s nice to be up north in July where you get a little bit of reprieve from the heat. I love Loudon and I’m looking forward to seeing what these Sprint Cup cars are like going around the flat one-mile.”
