New Scheme For No. 95 Chevrolet Will Feature Malwarebytes
CONCORD, N.C. (July 14, 2016) – NASCAR driver Michael McDowell hasn’t raced at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in two years – but that’s not deterring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver from working toward another Top-25 finish for the Circle Sport – Leavine Family Racing (CSLFR) team in the New Hampshire 301 race.
McDowell has a long history at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, as he raced in all three of the top NASCAR series at this track. He recorded two Top-15’s and a Top-20 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series during his career.
Following the exciting run at Daytona in the Coke Zero 400 that resulted in his first Top-10 finish of the season, McDowell is looking forward to finding short track success this weekend.
“I’m excited to go back to New Hampshire to race,” said McDowell. “It’s a short, flat track and a place where I feel we can have success. I haven’t raced there in a while, so it’ll be nice to get back and get a feel for the track. I’m looking forward to a great race for Malwarebytes and our entire No. 95 team.”
Crew Chief Dave Winston knows what the keys to success at a track like New Hampshire are, and is confident in the chassis they will be bringing back from both Richmond and Phoenix earlier this season.
“The key to a solid finish at New Hampshire is track position,” said Winston. “You need to have a good handling car with a brake package that will allow the driver to get in the corner aggressively, then have the car rotate the center and allow him to get back to the gas to make the straightaway as long as you can. If we focus on that and smooth entry into the corners, I think we will definitely be in contention for another solid finish.”
CSLFR is excited to sport new colors on the No. 95 Chevrolet SS this week, as they welcome Malwarebytes on board for the first time this season as a primary sponsor.
The New Hampshire 301 takes place on Sunday, July 17 at 1:30 p.m. EST. Race fans can tune-in to NBC for live coverage and follow @CSLFR95 on Twitter for updates.
