CHASTAIN ROLLING INTO CHICAGO

JOLIET, Ill. – Saturday’s Drive For Safety 300 will mark Ross Chastain’s fifth race at Chicagoland Speedway.

Chastain will drive the Gerber Collision & Glass No. 4 Chevrolet in the final regular-season race of the Xfinity Series season.

Chastain has driven in three Xfinity races at the track, with an average finish of 17.7. He also has participated in one Camping World Truck Series race at Chicagoland.

“I’ve got a lot of laps in there,” Chastain said. “It requires a lot of speed, but it’s a technique type of track, too. You have to pick your spots to pass. I’m looking forward to running there again.”

A pair of practice sessions will open the Xfinity weekend – at 12:30 p.m. (ET) and 3 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:45 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 3 p.m.
