Homestead 2017

Ryan Reed closed out the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series season eighth in the driver standings following his 20th-place finish in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Reed had a fast No. 16 Lilly Diabetes Ford, but was assessed a pass through penalty after avoiding a car sideways in front of him at the start of the race. A caution never fell his way to get back on the lead lap.

Reed on Homestead

“Homestead is really demanding, it’s so worn out and we run right up against the fence. It’s just one of those tracks that every driver looks forward to going there just because it’s worn out, drivers track, everything that a driver talks about that he wants to feel in a racetrack, that place has it. It’s our only true 1.5-mile oval, it’s unique, we don’t go to very many places like it.”
