NASCAR RELEASES XFINITY SERIES AND GANDER OUTDOORS TRUCK SERIES RACE TIMES FOR 2019

Texas Motor Speedway to host night race in spring debut of Gander Outdoors Truck Series

Saturday night Xfinity Series race leads to Thursday-Friday schedule for Tony Stewart Presents the Vankor Texas Sprint Car Nationals in November

FORT WORTH, Texas (January 31, 2019) –Texas Motor Speedway will get plenty of use out of its lights in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series and Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2019.

NASCAR released race times for both series Thursday, and three of the four races across the two series are scheduled at night.

The debut of a spring Truck Series race at ‘The Great American Speedway’ is one of those. The Vankor 350, freshly moved from TMS’ fall NASCAR weekend, stays in its traditional time slot with an 8:00 p.m. (CT) green flag. Its new date is Friday, March 29, and it will be broadcast on FS1.

The Xfinity Series My Bariatric Solutions 300 is a high noon shootout on NBCSN. That race, won last year by Ryan Blaney, has an official start of 12:00 p.m. (CT), Saturday, March 30 on FS1.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series was already scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (CT), Sunday, March 31 on FOX.

The fall race weekend gets a total makeover as well. Without a Truck Series race for the first time since 1999, the Xfinity Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 continues to shine under the bright lights. It’s slated for a 7:30 p.m. (CT) start, Saturday, November 2 on NBCSN. Because of the Saturday night green flag, Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track’s Tony Stewart Presents the Vankor Texas Sprint Car Nationals gets two nights to itself. Racing is scheduled for Thursday, October 31, and Friday, November 1.

The weekend culminates with the AAA Texas 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, already scheduled for Sunday, November 3, at 2:00 p.m. (CT) on NBCSN.

The lone race filling the same time slot as a year ago is June’s Rattlesnake 400 Gander Outdoors Truck Series race. TMS’ second Truck Series visit of the season gives fans another taste of night race action, running at 8:00 p.m. (CT), Friday, June 7 on FS1. It runs the same weekend as ‘America’s Original Nighttime INDYCAR Race,’ the NTT IndyCar Series DXC Technology 600, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. (CT) on NBCSN.
