Sadler at Kansas
Elliott Sadler will make his sixth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Kansas this Saturday afternoon in Kansas City, KS. In Sadler’s previous five starts at Kansas, he has two top-five and four top-10 finishes. Last year, Sadler started and finished seventh in the NXS race at Kansas.
The veteran driver from Emporia, VA also has 11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Kansas with one top-five and three top-10 finishes.
Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race
Sadler finished 10th in his special pink No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang last Friday night in the NXS race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Sadler qualified for the 200 lap event on Friday afternoon and started the night race from the 10th position. Sadler and his No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang battled in the top-15 for the majority of the race with a loose handling race car. With less than 50 laps to go, the yellow flag came out and Sadler was the Lucky Dog on the race track. Running 11th, Sadler came down pit road under caution and the crew made some major adjustments to tighten up Sadler’s car. The changes helped Sadler’s handling and he was able to drive his pink Ford across the finish line for a 10th-place finish.

Following the NXS race at Charlotte, Sadler dropped one position to the sixth spot in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 29 races, Sadler is now 113 points behind the leader and only one point behind fifth place.
