Ryan Truex Looks to Make Lasting Impression of Final 2015 Start

Truex Hopes to Close Out Four Race Stint with Top-10

Ryan Truex looks to finish his 2015 season out with high regards and a Top-10 finish. Truex and the No. 98 Carrol Shelby Engine Company comes to Texas after a strong run at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Truex is known as short track specialist, but his two mile-and-a-half track starts this year show great promise in his ability at the larger, high speed tracks. The No. 98 Ford team is no stranger to success at the intermediate style tracks. The team will work off of the setup that Sam Hornish Jr. drove to a Top-15 finish earlier in the year.

Truex made his only start at Texas Motor Speedway in the 2012 summer XFINITY Series race. As an organization, Biagi DenBeste Racing made 10 XFINITY Series starts at the track with one Top-10 and three Top-20 finishes.

Truex Weekend Chatter

“Texas is a track that has a lot of character. The surface is fairly worn out, and that plays into my driving style. I have a little bit of experience there which should help us get up to speed early and focus on getting our car driving well on the longer runs. We’ve had great runs and not so great luck. I feel like we built some momentum at Charlotte. I want to finish out the year strong and give these guys the Top-10 finish they deserve.”

A performance and marketing driven company, Richard Petty Motorsports, co-owned by NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty and successful business entrepreneur Andrew Murstein, is one of the most recognized brands in all of motorsports. With a history of over 200 wins and business partnerships with national and global leaders, today the race operation fields two teams in competition in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Aric Almirola pilots the famous No. 43 Ford Fusion with primary partners Smithfield Foods, U.S. Air Force, STP and Fresh From Florida, and Sam Hornish Jr. drives the No. 9 machine with primary partners Medallion Bank and Twisted Tea. In addition, Dakoda Armstrong wheels the No. 43 WinField Ford Mustang full-time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. The team is headquartered in Mooresville, N.C.
