CHASTAIN RETURNS TO TEXAS

FORT WORTH, Texas – Rolling into the final weeks of a fine rookie season, Ross Chastain will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Chastain finished 21st in the spring Xfinity race at TMS. That was his Xfinity debut at the track, but he also has run four Camping World Truck Series events at TMS.

“I feel like I have a lot of laps there even though I haven’t been racing in NASCAR that long,” Chastain said. “I have a good feel for what you need to do well there. Your car has to have great speed but also handle very well. It’s a neat challenge.”

Chastain is 15th in Xfinity driver points with three races remaining on the schedule.

Practice is scheduled at TMS Friday at 2 p.m. (ET). Qualifying is set for 12:15 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.
