ADVANCE NOTES

·         Reed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

o   Ryan Reed will make his first NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start this Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) for Roush Fenway Racing (RFR).  The race marks Reed’s ninth overall NNS start.

o   Reed has one start at LVMS in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, coming 2012, where he started 18th and finished 17th.

·         Up to Speed

o   Reed made six NNS starts for RFR in 2013, earning his best finish of ninth at Richmond International Raceway in just his third start.  Reed finished in the top-15 in four of his six starts.

o   In 2012, Reed competed in 14 ARCA races, earning one top-five and six top-10 finishes.  He had an average start of 8.6 and an average finish of 10.6.  Reed also made one start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series last season at Las Vegas, where he finished 17th.

·         The Car

o   The No. 16 team will race chassis RK-827, a brand new chassis, this weekend at LVMS.

·         Recapping Phoenix

o   Reed qualified 15th in his second start at Phoenix International Raceway.  With the threat of rain looming, he battled hard to work his Mustang towards the front of the pack.  Ultimately, as the rain started to fall, Reed was involved in a race-ending single car accident.

QUOTE WORTHY

Reed on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:

“I think the truck race I ran at Las Vegas is really going to help me out there.  Vegas is a lot different than the other mile-and-a-half tracks we go to.  You can get yourself in trouble before you know it if you’re not careful.”
