Furr Named Crew Chief For Cassill

GAFFNEY, S.C. – Tony Furr, a veteran crew chief with experience across several NASCAR series, will serve as interim crew chief for driver Landon Cassill and the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 01 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.

Furr has worked for several of the top organizations in NASCAR and will give Cassill a veteran’s approach from the top of the pit wagon.

“I’m excited to have Tony come on board for this week’s race,” said team owner Johnny Davis. “He’s been around the sport for a long time and knows all the ins and outs of racing. We’ll go to Phoenix with a really good shot at doing well.”

Cassill is 15th in Xfinity Series points entering the Phoenix race.

Former crew chief Dave Fuge is no longer with the JD Motorsports team.
