“I think it has been fun. Something that drives you, pushes you. Nobody wants to be third or fourth of the group. You want to be the best. You want to win championships. You want to be the fastest every week. But at the same time, it’s difficult because we are working together, and we are sharing everything."
“With Daytona being known for its big races, I definitely think it’s going to be something that’s going to be a loss to the racetrack. It’s cool to see all the paint schemes come out for our holiday weekends, especially for the Fourth of July. It’s always been a pretty neat weekend."
RYAN BLANEY, No. 12 BodyArmor Ford Mustang -- YOU HAVE SOME COOL STUFF GOING ON WITH YOUR FOUNDATION THIS WEEKEND, CAN YOU TALK ABOUT THAT? “Yeah, it is Alzheimer's awareness month and that is the main focus of our foundation. This weekend we have a pretty neat promotional deal where you could go online and donate to the Alzheimer's Association and nominate a loved one to be on the decklid."
“It’s a big fast oval. One of the few race tracks that we go to that you can run all over. There is multiple racing grooves, different ways that you can attack the race track. It’s really cool to be able to come to a track like this. It’s cool as a driver when you can move around and try to find more speed in the car.”
“So I had a really fun weekend scheduled and unfortunately the Midwest weather put an end to it. After Iowa, I was planning on – well, I did fly straight to Ohio and I was going to do the Ohio Speedweek Monday through Saturday. I was supposed to get six races in. We flew up, rained out Monday, rained out Tuesday so I flew home and didn’t get to race. Very rare weekend off for me.”
“That was a big confidence boost for me. To go out there and run up front with the 18 team was a lot of fun for me to go out and race the Xfinity Series guys, like (Justin) Allgaier. We were racing side-by-side for most of the day. It was a lot of fun. We had a good time out there. I am excited to get back out there with them in New Hampshire, but right now I am focused on the Truck Series.”
“Chicago is always a blast. It is one of the best mile-and-a-halves that we go to. There isn’t that many wrecks. It definitely produces top, bottom and middle groove racing. For a driver, that’s what we love. We love being able to move around. We don’t have any big Cup drivers in this race. Those guys do a great job of knowing when the top is not good and going to the bottom. And when the bottom isn’t good, they know when to go back to the top. Those are big things that those guys know what to do with their experience.”
Ty Majeski (No. 22 Crestliner Boats Ford) scored his third ARCA Menards Series win of the season with a dominant performance in the Bounty 150 on Thursday night at Chicagoland Speedway. Majeski led 72 of the race’s 100 laps and at times opened up a 12-second advantage on the field.
For the second consecutive week, Michael Self (No. 25 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota) will start from the General Tire Pole for an ARCA Menards Series race in the state of Illinois. Last week Self led the field to the green at WWT Raceway in Madison, and after a fast lap in qualifying for the Bounty 150 he will lead the field to the green at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet.
Enclosed car transport protects vehicles from weather, road debris, and the kind of incidental damage that's irrelevant for a daily driver but unacceptable for a race car or a six-figure classic.
The race will mark a major milestone in Jeremy’s career as he makes his 548th start, breaking Kenny Wallace’s all-time NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts record and further cementing his place among the sport’s ironmen.
Green Bay Packers safety Evan Williams will ride in the Fastest Seat in Sports at the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America Presented by AMR on Sunday, June 21.
