Brad Keselowski’s night in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway ended way too early on Saturday evening. The driver of the Stars, Stripes and Lites Ford was jockeying for the lead on lap 54. He received a big push from Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at the entrance to Turn 3. Race leader William Byron threw a block, Keselowski backed off and got hit from behind, triggering a 24-car pileup and ending his night. Keselowski was credited with a 36th-place finish.

Camry driver Erik Jones captured his first career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) victory in Saturday night’s race at Daytona International Speedway.

I thought being in the top two or three is pretty safe, but we just got clipped from behind. Usually, there’s that danger zone that everybody knows about from third to 12th and we didn’t get strung out enough to get away from some of the action. It’s a bummer night for Monster Energy Ford. It was fast. We put her on the bottom at the end of stage one to gain some points, but now we’ve got nothing. We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I do have to giggle. There’s no safe spot out there.”

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — In a wild war of attrition that went to two overtimes, Erik Jones outdueled Martin Truex Jr. on Saturday night at Daytona International Speedway to seize the first victory of his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career.

Elliott and the GMS Racing team had a mechanical issue with 10 laps to go in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway which relegated them to a 29th-place finish.

Ryan Reed, a two-time Daytona Champion, put forth a valiant effort Friday evening. Reed started in the back of the field and worked his way forward through the pack multiple times throughout the 100-lap event before being collected three laps shy of the checkered flag. The damage was too severe to finish and Reed was credited with a 26th-place finish in his No. 16 Drive Down A1C Lilly Diabetes Ford Fusion.

Ryan Blaney and the Pirtek Ford Mustang started second in the Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 after qualifying was washed out by an afternoon thunderstorm and the starting lineup was set by owner points.
