"We battled back from a mishap in qualifying after getting into the wall. It's nothing that our team couldn't handle. We started from the rear and raced our way into the top 10 before the first caution. The Alsco/Red Cap Chevrolet was fast, and we worked pit strategy in a way so that we were able to lead a few laps. Overall, it was a solid finish.
“It’s a good night for us, but we’ve got to be better. We finished fifth, so that was a good rebound from when we showed up here at Kentucky. We were way off in left field, so we worked hard all night long.

“I think the racing has been really good. The new rule packages and everything NASCAR has been doing has been good for the sport and I think you’ve seen it at Michigan and then this weekend with a little bit different rules package. I think it’s a step in the right direction, for sure, so the racing has been a lot of fun.
“We’re in the summer stretch here, obviously, and a lot always seems to happen here. It’s one of my favorite stretches to get into. This track is one that really kind of highlights it for me. It’s been very good to me here at Kentucky Speedway.
