Aric Almirola Carrys Momentum from Winning Weekend to Kentucky

After a great weekend in Daytona for Aric Almirola, he heads to Kentucky Speedway in the No. 43 Smithfield Ford with renewed confidence. Almirola took the No. 98 Fresh From Florida Ford to Victory Lane in the XFINITY Series and recorded a Top-15 finish in the Sprint Cup Series on Saturday night.

Brian Scott Ready to Race on New Surface in First Cup Start at Kentucky

Brian Scott will make his Sprint Cup debut at Kentucky Speedway this weekend, but he won't be the only one. Kentucky Speedway recently underwent a repave of the 1.5-mile tri-oval, making it in prime condition for NASCAR to make its annual visit to the Bluegrass State this weekend.

“The key to success at Kentucky is going to be survival. With any track repave the very first race there are a lot of unknowns. We were fortunate to test there. It’s going to be tough to get that second lane to come in but I think it’s going to. So pushing the grove up the track on a brand new surface is going to be key.”

Trevor Bayne – Kentucky Advance

Bayne makes his second career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday night.

Bubba Wallace – Kentucky Advance

Wallace will make his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Kentucky Speedway on Friday evening.

Stenhouse Jr – Kentucky Advance

The two-time XFINITY champion has three career NSCS starts at Kentucky with an average starting position of 17.0 and average finishing position of 17.7.

Ryan Reed – Kentucky Advance

Ryan Reed has competed at Kentucky Speedway four times in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS). In this race last year, Reed finished 14th after starting 12th. In his last appearance at the track, he finished 25th after starting 19th and getting caught up in an early-race incident on Lap 2.

Ford Performance NASCAR: Kentucky Advance

After sweeping the NASCAR XFINITY and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Daytona International Speedway last weekend, Ford Performance heads to Kentucky for its only visit of the season. Brad Keselowski, who is the only Ford driver with a NSCS win at the 1.5-mile track, will be looking to make it two straight after taking the checkered flag Saturday night in the Coke Zero 400.
