Phoenix International Raceway will officially be renamed Jeff Gordon Raceway on Nov. 15, 2015 for the NASCAR Sprint Cup SeriesQuicken Loans Race for Heroes 500, PIR President Bryan R. Sperber announced today. The race is the semifinal race for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and will be Gordon’s last Sprint Cup Series race at the track as a full-time competitor.

Harrison Rhodes will be eyeing a strong finish in the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 0 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Great Clips 250 Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

“Michigan is the kind of track you get used to in a hurry,” Chastain said. “You can run all over the track, so you can quickly pick out which lane is best for your car. Then, as the tires wear, you start moving around. It’s a fun track both for the speed and the strategy.”

“I have a wealth of experience at Michigan,” said Cassill, who has driven in nine Sprint Cup and two Xfinity races at the fast two-mile track. “The best thing about the track is that the racing surface is so wide. You can run fast in just about any groove.”
