Dale Earnhardt Jr. entered Martinsville Speedway with high hopes after scoring his first Grandfather Clock last fall. However, he wouldn't have anything close to the day that he wanted, finishing 36th.

March 29, 2015 – Martin Truex, Jr., No. 78 Furniture Row/Visser Precision Chevrolet SS, earned his sixth consecutive top-10 finish of 2015 with a sixth-place effort in the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway. The sixth round of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season ended with five Chevrolet SS race cars finishing in the top 10.

Man, it was a fun race. That’s the best we’ve ever been here at Martinsville, so I’m pumped about that, but a little disappointed I’m not taking home a clock. That’s how it goes sometimes, but, all in all, a really solid day, a fun day and just one spot short.”

That is what I was just telling him (one of his crew members) I can’t believe after losing the power steering the first run we finished sixth. It was not fun to drive for a little while there, but they did a great job getting fluid back in it and fixing the leak and everything. Just fought all day, just like we always do, fought, fought, fought.”
