NASCAR Cup Series

As the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) for the first race of the season at an intermediate track, and first race with the new rules package, Energizer® is set to serve as the primary partner on Kyle Larson’s No. 42 Chevrolet SS.

The No. 10 team that competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has been issued a Written Warning for a rules infraction discovered during opening day inspection Feb. 13 at Daytona International Speedway.

After an off-season testing ban was imposed, Atlanta Motor Speedway will be the site of the season’s first open team test Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. With a new rules package affecting both downforce and horsepower, Thursday’s test session will be a critical opportunity for teams to get a feel for the new aero package.

HOME OF CAMRY HISTORY: Toyota claimed its first Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) points race win at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) when driver Kyle Busch took the checkered flag at the track in March 2008. Busch, who will miss the Atlanta race while recovering from injuries sustained in an accident last weekend, led 173 laps (of 325) en route to the historic victory for Toyota. The victory was first-of-11 wins for Toyota in 2008 and the manufacturer has gone on to tally 65 wins in NSCS competition since that day.

Firefly Music Festival announced today the addition of Paul McCartney to the 2015 lineup. It is Paul’s first ever appearance in Delaware and the latest confirmed date of this year’s Out There tour, following on the recent announcement of April 21-May 2 run through Japan and South Korea. Firefly Music Festival takes place June 18-21 at The Woodlands of Dover, Delaware.

Daytona 500 Recap: Denny Hamlin finished fourth in Sunday’s season-opening Daytona 500 in the #11 FedEx Express Toyota after a two-lap “green-white-checkered” finish in the historic event won by Joey Logano.
