This weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series travels to Martinsville Speedway for the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500 and the first race of the Eliminator Round. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is also on track for the Kroger 200.

Will it bother anyone if, conceivably, one not so deserving wins the Cup title this year? I mean, if it is Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano, or Brad Keselowski, I doubt few would argue the outcome. One could even argue that the likes of Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, or Ryan Newman would be a worthy champion.

One of the most successful and iconic drivers in the history of NASCAR will be back behind the wheel for Sunday’s Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway. And, as he was most of his career, he will be leading the pack.

For Denny Hamlin, the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway couldn’t come at a more perfect time in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Stewart-Haas Racing, the championship-winning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, will swap crew chiefs and road crews between its Nos. 10 and 41 teams beginning with the AAA Texas 500 race weekend Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

“Any driver is going to lose more races than he wins, White said. “You got to learn how to be a good loser and it will make you a better winner.”

When talking about the favorites to win the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 at Martinsville Speedway, Carl Edwards’ name is not one that immediately jumps out. However, the driver of the No. 99 Ford feels like he has as good of a shot as anyone to win on Oct. 26.

Roush Fenway Racing has announced a multi-year partnership with Kellogg Company’s Cheez-It brand to serve as a primary partner on the No. 16 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Ford with driver Greg Biffle beginning in 2015. Kellogg has a long history of success with Roush Fenway, with Cheez-It and other Kellogg’s brands adorning several of the organization’s cars over the past five years. The partnership has also resulted in numerous trips to victory lane, including a NSCS triumph this spring for Cheez-It at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Michael Annett and the No. 7 Allstate Peterbilt Group Chevrolet SS team head to Martinsville Speedway this Sunday, as the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season draws closer to its conclusion.
