No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine driver Brian Vickers says NASCAR Sprint Cup racing on road courses is so exciting it’s time the sport’s leaders take it global. He believes Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway will be as good a race as any motorsports fan will watch on a road course in 2014.

Panasonic has expanded its relationship with Hendrick Motorsports with a new multi-year agreement that includes primary sponsorship of the No. 24 team of four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and current points leader Jeff Gordon.

Sonoma has been good to Bowyer and his No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota. He has earned six top-10 finishes in eight starts, five of those were top fives including a win in 2012. With stats like that it’s safe to say that Bowyer is a ringer on this wine country road course.

Heading to Sonoma, Calif. for the first road course event of the season is a welcome venue for both Martin Truex Jr. and the single-car Furniture Row Racing team.

Ford has six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins at Sonoma Raceway, but hasn’t found Victory Lane since 2002 when Ricky Rudd won while driving the famed No. 28 for Robert Yates Racing.

David Gilliland, driver of the No. 38 Love's Travel Stops Ford, comments on racing at Sonoma Raceway - "We always love going to Sonoma. I've won races there in other series before and I've come close to winning in Cup there, finishing second. It's just always one of my favorites. We circle it on the calendar for sure. Sunday was a time for remembering our fathers. For those of us still fortunate enough to do so, it was a day to call the ole boy up or drop by for a visit. It was a time for fathers to spend some time with their children or, if one happens to be Jimmie Johnson, a time to kick butt at Michigan and then spend some quality time with the daughters.
