Trevor Bayne, the Wood Brothers and their No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion are headed to Talladega Superspeedway for Sunday’s Camping World RV Sales 500.

Halfway through the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup championship playoff, Toyota driver Matt Kenseth continues to lead the 13-driver field by four points ahead of second-place Jimmie Johnson. Kyle Busch ranks fifth in the standings -- 37 points behind Kenseth. Clint Bowyer is eighth -- 63 points from the leader. Kenseth leads all drivers with seven wins in 2013.

Front Row Motorsports will build off another season of significant growth and new team records in 2013 -- one that included the team's first win -- with the return of drivers David Ragan and David Gilliland in 2014.

In 41 starts at Talladega Superspeedway, Bobby Labonte has one win (4/26/98), one pole award, six top-five and 13 top-10 finishes and has led 159 laps. His average start is 21.805 and his average finish is 18.878.

Kenseth finished third in the Bank Of America 500, one spot ahead of Jimmie Johnson, and extended his lead from three to four in the Sprint Cup point standings.

Charlotte has come and gone for another season, so what can one say about the race that was. Well, "thank God that is behind us" comes to mind. I can not remember if it was sponsored by Nyquil or was simply the To Hell With A Cure for Insomnia 500, for me it turned out to be NASCAR's version of English Premier League soccer. That is, best watched with PVR in hand.

The chance for underdog teams to get that break out win allowing them to continue to race without dying for sponsorship is this weekend in Talladega. We’ve discussed the possibilities of underdog team’s winning before but in my personal opinion one team sticks out over the rest and that’s Front Row Motorsports.

No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota driver Martin Truex Jr. grew tired of watching it rain in Texas early this week so he’s now turning his full attention to Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Swan Racing today announced that Parker Kligerman will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut in the No. 30 Swan Energy Toyota on Sunday, November 3 for the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Biffle has 21 Sprint Cup career starts at Talladega, earning two top-five and five top-10 finishes. In 2012 Biffle finished inside the top 10 at both Talladega races.
