NASCAR Cup Series

Kyle Busch took the checkered flag in Sunday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Atlanta Motor Speedway -- his fourth (Atlanta, California, Texas and Watkins Glen) NSCS victory of 2013.

As the excitement builds in anticipation of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Kurt Busch made some bold moves in his No. 78 Furniture Row/Beautyrest Chevrolet SS to rally from a 32nd place starting spot to fourth place overall in the Advocare 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It marked his seventh top five and 12th top-10 finish of the season, to date. Busch moved up two positions in the point standings and now ranks 10th overall.

Following his dramatic, come-from-behind fourth-place finish in Sunday night’s Sprint Cup Series race, Kurt Busch radioed his Furniture Row Racing team and shouted, “We’re still in it boys, we’re still in it. On to Richmond!”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was breathing a little easier Sunday night at the Atlanta Motor Speedway after an eighth place finish moved him closer to the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

In a night of attrition that claimed both of his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates, Kyle Busch was around at the end of the ADVOCARE 500 and took home his second career win at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

JTG-Daugherty Racing officially introduced Allmendinger as their new driver beginning in 2014. He’ll replace Bobby Labonte in the No. 47 Sprint Cup Series entry. The team does not know as this time whether they’ll remain with Toyota or be switching to another manufacturer.

It's been great for me to be a part of the race team so far. It's a good, little race team -- you know, a one-car team. "

MARK MARTIN, NO. 14 BASS PRO SHOPS/MOBIL 1 CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Atlanta Motor Speedway and discussed what the team will be working on in final practice today, his plans for 2014 and other topics.

TRAVIS PASTRANA PRACTICE: NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Travis Pastrana got a hand from his Roush Fenway Racing teammate Carl Edwards during Saturday’s first practice session. Pastrana, who turned the 9th-fastest lap time of the session at 177.630 mph (31.211 seconds), said he asked Edwards to make laps in the car to compare notes with the veteran.
