JIMMIE JOHNSON, NO. 48 LOWE’S CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Sonoma Raceway and discussed his participation in a music video, the nuances of road course racing and other topics.

CLINT BOWYER, No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing - Are you looking forward to this weekend at Sonoma Raceway? "It has been good to me, it's a fun race track. It's a short track of road course racing and it just kind of fits my driving style."

MATT KENSETH, No. 20 Home Depot Husky Tools Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - How do you feel about this weekend? "Well, it's always a challenging weekend, but I am looking forward to it. We only get a shot at this once a year. Like you touched on, it hasn't been my best track by any means. Different car -- this car has been pretty good for us everywhere we've been."

Marcos Ambrose, driver of the No. 9 Stanley Ford Fusion, has two road course wins to his credit in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series but both of those have come at Watkins Glen International. Ambrose spoke about what it’s going to take to win here in Sonoma before today’s first practice session.

Tony Stewart; the man you should never count out no matter what. Tony said prior to the 2011 chase that he didn't even deserve to be in it with how poorly he was running. Two months and five wins later, he was hoisting the Sprint Cup trophy at Homestead. This year, Stewart-Haas Racing has had a rough time finding their footing with these Generation Six cars and have been forced to endure some pretty bad days at the track.

I like Kurt Busch. There, I said it. Do not get me wrong. The Kurt Busch who mouthed off and got punched in the head by Jimmy Spencer, he I did not much care for. The Robo-Kurt, who acted as phoney as a $3 bill, only to show his true colors by mouthing off a respected reporter like Dr. Jerry Punch a couple of years ago, I did not much care for that jackass either.

Despite some obstacles Mike Bliss and his No. 19 TriStar Motorsports crew battled in the hills of Michigan on the fast two mile oval. With a little adversity Bliss and his Toyota Camry started the Alliance Truck Parts 250 from the 28th position.

The No. 48 car at Hendrick Motorsports. Recent races seem to verify this, and Jimmie Johnson has many fans, but after watching the NBA finals tonight, I couldn’t help to draw an analogy between not only the Miami Heat and the Lowe’s Chevrolet team, but to LeBron James and Jimmie Johnson. Jimmie Johnson: While in pursuit of Greg Biffle in the lead, Johnson’s No. 48 Chevy cut a tire and slammed hard into the wall at Turn 2. Biffle went on to win, while Johnson finished 28th, one lap down. He remained the points leader, and holds a 31-point cushion over Carl Edwards.
