This past weekend at Kentucky, crew chief Jason Ratcliff made the call to take two tires which put Matt Kenseth out front for a late race restart. Their call put Jimmie Johnson who had dominated the race up to that point in a vulnerable position starting on the inside which ended with him spinning out and losing all of his track position.

The 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion also scored two pole awards in 1998 along with capturing his best finish of second-place in both February and October events at the track that year.

If the 2001 & 2003 Daytona 500 champion can be considered a dark horse pick to win Saturday night’s 400-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Daytona International Speedway then Michael Waltrip might be a good bet to take home another trophy.

Biffle has 21 starts at Daytona, earning one win, three top-five and six top-10 finishes.

Stenhouse has six Nationwide career starts, earning two top-five and three top-10 finishes.

On the weekend that our country celebrates the Fourth of July, Aric Almirola would like to bring that celebration to Victory Lane at the World's Center of Racing and America's most iconic track, Daytona International Speedway. Almirola will race with the U.S. Air Force on the hood of the No. 43 Ford.

As the summer months roll into full swing, Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 Stanley Ford team are showing again why this is their best time of the year. The team is coming off a seventh-place finish at Sonoma and 13th-place finish at Kentucky. In both races, the team qualified in the top-five.

NAPA Racing’s Martin Truex Jr. is on a hot streak as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to Daytona International Speedway during the July 4th holiday weekend for its 400-mile race Saturday night.

David Ragan, driver of the No. 34 Taco Bell Ford Fusion for Front Row Motorsports, has two career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories and both of them have come at the restrictor plate tracks of Daytona and Talladega. Ragan was a guest on this week’s NASCAR teleconference and spoke about his success at that type of racing and what he expects this weekend in the Coke Zero 400 at DIS.
