Talladega, where we watched Matt Kenseth dominate, where we saw Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards contend, and where we watched a lot of cars torn up. It is also where we saw two cars from an underfunded operation charge up from out of nowhere to claim the top two spots at the finish line.

As a new generation of drivers enters the Sprint Cup Series, the veterans are finding it tougher and tougher to remain competitive. Other than a few breakout weekends, Jeff Burton hasn’t been much of a threat over the past few seasons.

Just two days after a tirade on Twitter following the final restart at Talladega, NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Brad Keselowski has published an open letter to the fans and fellow driver, David Ragan, on his website that, on the surface, looks as though it might be an apology for his harsh words.

David Reutimann and the No. 83 Burger King / Dr. Pepper Toyota team finished 41st at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on Sunday afternoon after being involved in "the big one" on lap 42. Involved in the accident entering turn one, Reutimann's Camry suffered extensive damage and the BK Racing team was forced to retire from the Aaron's 499.

Travis Kvapil and the No. 93 Burger King / Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry finished 38th at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on Sunday afternoon after sustaining damage during a lap 20 incident.

Travis Pastrana will make his second NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Darlington Raceway this Friday night. Last season, Pastrana made his second overall NNS start at the 1.37-mile track, finishing 17th.

Stenhouse has three Nationwide starts at Darlington earning two top-10 finishes. He was the Coors Light Pole winner in 2012.

After a close finish at Talladega, Roush Fenway heads to Darlington, S.C. to take on the 1.366-mile oval nicknamed the “Track Too Tough to Tame,” where RFR has experienced its fair share of success and will look for its 21st victory this weekend.

Richard Childress is tied for third in all-time car owner victories with Holman-Moody and the Wood Brothers at Darlington Raceway with eight wins each. Dale Earnhardt collected all of RCR's victories at the South Carolina-based track. In 103 collective starts, RCR boasts 21 top-five and 35 top-10 finishes at the 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval with five different drivers including Clint Bowyer, Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton and Robby Gordon.
