Remember when Ricky Rudd and Dale Earnhardt spun at North Wilkesboro on the final lap battling for the win in 1989? How about when Kasey Kahne and Matt Kenseth crossed the line in nearly a dead heat at Rockingham back in 2004?

Hey, it was Saturday night racing! Well, it was, but I am not one of those old school short track kind of fans. Hell, growing up Saturday night was reserved for Hockey Night in Canada. I tuned in Friday night to Richmond seeking a preview of what might be expected.

Harvick and Menard are tied for ninth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver championship point standings, trailing leader Jimmie Johnson by 72 markers, while Burton sits 19th.

"We were there, but on the wrong sequence at the end," said Kurt Busch, who saw a race-contending performance drop to a solid ninth-place finish in the closing laps of Saturday night's Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway.

Rocketing ahead of the field on a green-white-checkered finish, Kevin Harvick powered his No. 29 Bell Helicopter Chevrolet SS to victory in the Toyota Owners 400 Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway.

As the Toyota Owners 400 was drawing to a close, it looked like Kevin Harvick would catch Juan Pablo Montoya for the lead, making for a thrilling battle between them. However, all heck broke loose when a caution would come out with six laps to go when Brian Vickers would get into the wall.

With late race pit stops and a late green white checkered, Kevin Harvick would go from seventh to first on the final restart to take the victory in the Toyota Owners 400.

We are proud of that and will have to regroup and go to Talladega.”

Clint Bowyer was the first Camry driver to the finish line in the Toyota Owners 400 tonight at Richmond International Raceway with a second-place result.

"That was a heck of a first lap of the restart. I thought that the outside line might have the advantage because it had a couple of guys with new tires in the second row, and lined up on the outside. But the two tires - these cars drive a lot off the left rear - and we only took two tires, and they didn't get that great of restart but my car launched, and I was able to drive it in the first corner and hope for the best down there."
