NASCAR roars into Kansas Speedway this weekend for the 8th race of the 2013 season. It seems like we are saying this at every track this year but once again, you can expect record speeds by the Gen-6 this weekend.

Martin Truex Jr. is a highly underrated driver in my eyes but it's easy for people to overlook a guy who has just one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) victory in 268 races.

In the aftermath of the tragic events that occurred during Monday’s Boston Marathon, Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) will show its support for the city of Boston with a “B-Strong” tribute this weekend at Kansas Speedway.

Richmond International Raceway and IMG Seating are teaming up to offer padded seat rentals for the April 26-27 NASCAR weekend at RIR. Seat rentals are $8 per event and available for both the Saturday, April 27, Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race and the Friday, April 26, ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.

The events of this week’s attack on the Boston Marathon hit especially close to Michael Waltrip Racing founder and co-owner Michael Waltrip. As the only NASCAR Sprint Cup driver or car owner to have run the Boston Marathon, Waltrip will honor the victims of the marathon tragedy by running special door numbers on his three NASCAR Sprint Cup entries this weekend at Kansas Speedway.

Fresh off of last week’s strong outing in Texas, Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) heads to Kansas Speedway where the team will look for its fifth Sprint Cup victory at the 1.5-mile track.

Rookie Danica Patrick was one of the nine drivers to take to Daytona International Speedway as part of the Goodyear tire test. The test involved some single car runs, followed by some pack runs to see how the different tire compounds handled.

After a trip to the Lone Star State for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and a visit to “The Rock” for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series last weekend, both series join up this weekend in America’s Heartland for a weekend of racing at Kansas Speedway. After being reconfigured in 2012, the track has become super fast and should provide two great races for the race fans in the Midwest.

Nine teams shook down tires for Goodyear on Tuesday and Wednesday at Daytona International Speedway ahead of the 55th annual Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday, July 6.
