Regan Smith, 2011 winner of the prestigious Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, aims to claim an additional NASCAR crown jewel this weekend. Smith and Phoenix Racing will team up to tackle the high banks of Daytona International Speedway in one of NASCAR's most coveted races, the Daytona 500. Smith will pilot the No. 51 Guy Roofing Chevrolet in his sixth Daytona 500 attempt.

When it comes to statistically analyzing the Daytona 500, Kurt Busch’s record stands out.

One has to believe that Rick Hendrick is extremely optimistic regarding the 2013 racing season. Hendrick Motorsports, (HMS), will once again be fielding a four car operation with all four teams already regarded as championship contenders. One team is seeking a "six pack" title, another team is seeking to close the deal on "the drive for five" while two teams are seeking their first ever championship.

Dating back to 1976, Richard Childress Racing has won 10 poles and collected five victories at the most-storied race track on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series circuit. RCR owns two Daytona 500 wins (Dale Earnhardt - 1998, Kevin Harvick - 2007), three Coke Zero 400 trophies (Earnhardt - 1990, 1993 and Harvick - 2010) and 14 qualifying races, including 10-consecutive victories with Earnhardt (1990 - 1999) and Jeff Burton's most recent win in 2011.

In 2012 Biffle started second in the Daytona 500 and during the race led the field eight different times for a combined total of 44 laps. In the end he fell just short of winning, settling for a third-place finish.

The 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) season opens at Daytona International Speedway this Saturday, February 23. Danica Patrick, who embarks on her first full-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) season this year, will be behind the wheel of the No. 34 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet Camaro for Turner Scott Motorsports in the NNS season opener.

As the saying goes, "If ain't broke, don't fix it." Phoenix Racing and Kurt Busch have certainly subscribed to that notion upon their return to Daytona International Speedway for this weekend's DRIVE4COPD 300. The winner of the most recent Nationwide Series event at 2.5-mile high-banked, historic track is revisiting the site of his victory with all the ingredients of the winning recipe.

Elliott Sadler will kick off the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season at Daytona International Speedway in his first season with Joe Gibbs Racing. Sadler joined the JGR lineup in the off-season and will pilot the No. 11 OneMain Financial Toyota Camry.

No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota driver Mark Martin returns to Daytona International Speedway Wednesday in preparation for Thursday’s Daytona Duels that set the starting field for Sunday’s running of the 55th annual Daytona 500.

NASCAR Nationwide Series driver, Blake Koch received the positive news just two weeks ago that he would once again be behind the wheel of the #24 Toyota Camry fielded by SR2 Motorsports based in Mooresville, North Carolina. In addition to full time competition in 2013, Koch announced today, three organizations which he will endorse this season; Crusader Staffing, Support Military.org and Finish A Winner.
