NASCAR Cup Series

The 2013 NASCAR Media Day took place Thursday with drivers making the rounds between print, radio, television and other mediums. Numerous Ford drivers were part of the day’s first session, including defending champion Brad Keselowski, new teammate Joey Logano and Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle.

It was announced today that Danica Patrick will pilot Turner Scott Motorsports' fourth entry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Daytona International Speedway. Patrick, who will be a full-time Rookie of the Year candidate in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) in 2013, will be behind the wheel of the No. 34 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet Camaro in the season-opening DRIVE4COPD 300. Veteran crew chief Mike Greci will be calling the shots from atop the pit box.

In January, Michael Waltrip addressed the media and, with a big smile on his face, said "this is breaking news: we don't have any news. There's really nothing new or different from 2012. Man, are we happy about that."

David Ragan and Front Row Motorsports will have a doctor in the house at the Daytona 500. The Detail Doctor, the vinyl, leather and plastic "As Seen on TV" car restorer will be the primary sponsor of Ragan's No. 34 Ford for NASCAR's season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

When Michael Waltrip takes to the track this coming Daytona Speedweeks, it'll be a memorable weekend. The two-time Daytona 500 champion has put together a deal with Swan Racing to try and qualify for this year's Daytona 500.

Leavine Family Racing (LFR) will arrive at the Daytona 500 with a higher level of energy with the help of TeaZa™. The revolutionary product will be an associate sponsor on the No. 95 Ford Fusion with driver Scott Speed for selected NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) races this year, including the season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 24 at the Daytona International Speedway.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is well regarded as one of the meccas of Motor Sports. Since it opened in 1909 it has been labeled as the greatest race course in the world. It is practically a who's who as to who has been fortunate enough to add their name to a winner's trophy at the Brickyard.

The 2013 edition of Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway has a throwback feel as the Generation-6 cars that will make their competitive debut this week, once again closely resemble those found in dealer showrooms, bringing back the old “Win on Sunday, sell on Monday” approach to Motorsports Marketing.

A jam-packed Speedweeks featuring racing for everything NASCAR kicks off the 2013 season this weekend at Daytona International Speedway.

Edwards will make his seventh start in the Sprint Unlimited Saturday night. His best finish to date is seventh in 2009. He has led 54 laps in his previous six starts.
