Ricky Stenhouse Jr. piloted a 2013 Ford Fusion Sprint Cup car W Talladega Superspeedway Wednesday afternoon as part of an OEM NASCAR test. Stenhouse met with members of the media following the all-day session to discuss the car and more.

NASCAR is taking steps to make the race cars look more like the ones fans drive to the track or see on their morning commute, and Wednesday, Talladega Superspeedway hosted a test of the new body styles.

TMone will help push David Reutimann and Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) at Talladega Superspeedway. Reutimann will look to best his 11th-place superspeedway finish he posted at Daytona International Speedway when he pilots the No. 10 CVP@TMone.com BPO Chevrolet this weekend in the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500.

The 29-year-old driver, who enjoys competing on NASCAR’s big tracks, will be looking to overturn a five-race superspeedway negative streak in Sunday’s Good Sam Road Assistance 500 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

Up and coming country singer-songwriter RaeLynn has just been announced as the National Anthem singer for the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on October 7th. Known for being voted to Team Blake during season 2 of “The Voice”, RaeLynn will be performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” just before the engines roar to life on Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway—NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track.

Six Camry drivers recorded top-10 finishes in Sunday afternoon's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Delaware's Dover International Speedway. Mark Martin (third) was the first Toyota driver to the finish line in the 400-lap NSCS race at the Delaware concrete oval, followed by Martin Truex Jr. (sixth), Kyle Busch (seventh), Denny Hamlin (eighth), Clint Bowyer (ninth) and Joey Logano (10th). Busch led the field four times for 302 laps before he was forced to pit late in the race for fuel, and Hamlin led the field three times for 39 laps.

Carl Edwards on racing at Talladega Superspeedway: “This package seems to make it a little harder to bunch up and partner up. It will keep us, I think, in a big group. I am torn on that. It is worse because you have a better chance of being involved in somebody else’s wreck but it is more fun and I guess fun is why we do this anyway. I think it is going to be as good as Talladega can be. I haven’t won a restrictor-plate race in the Cup series yet so this would be a great place to do it.”

This weekend Roush Fenway and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series roll into ‘Sweet Home’ Alabama for the fourth and final restrictor-plate race of the 2012 season. RFR won the first restrictor-plate race of 2012 in the season-opening Daytona 500 with Matt Kenseth earning the team’s historic 300th win.
