NASCAR team owner Richard Childress has a lot of fond memories of Charlotte Motor Speedway, and he and his stable of drivers are looking forward to making new memories when NASCAR returns to the legendary 1.5-mile superspeedway for the Bank of America 500 week, Oct. 10-13.

THE MODERATOR: Good afternoon, everyone. Welcome to today's NASCAR teleconference with Dale Earnhardt, Jr., driver of the No. 88 National Guard Diet Mountain Dew Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports.

Landon Cassill, driver of the No. 83 Burger King/Dr Pepper Toyota, has some unfinished business at Dover International Speedway. After a promising start in June's event at the one-mile, concrete oval, Cassill was involved in a wreck on Lap 9 and unable to return to competition.

As the football and baseball seasons heat up so does the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entering the one-mile high-banked Dover International Speedway oval for the AAA 400, where a mere 45 points separate the top-12 championship contenders

The third NSCS event in Kentucky Speedway history will be the 17th of 36 championship races and one of six that make up the Turner Network Television (TNT) NASCAR Summer Series. The Quaker State 400 also will be broadcast on Performance Racing Network (PRN) radio and Sirius XM 90.

AdvoCare International, LP (AdvoCare), a leading health and wellness company, today announced they will be the title sponsor for the Phoenix International Raceway’s Nov. 11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race.

“We haven’t started the Chase the way we would have wanted, but Dover is a track where we can change that. The Roush Fenway cars have run well at Dover in the past and I’ve had some success there too. We’ve got some good tracks coming up to finish out the year and I’m ready to put New Hampshire behind us and get to Dover.”

Kenseth on racing at Dover International Speedway: “Dover has been one of our better tracks historically. We haven’t been really dominant there, but we’ve been able to get some top-fives there the last few times we’ve been to Dover, which is good, but we still need to be a little better there too. We’ve got a little work to do as we head to Dover, but it’s definitely one of our better tracks on the circuit, and a place that I’m really hoping we can make up some ground in the point standings.”

Dodge has six wins at Dover, including two Chase race victories – Richard Petty (2), Ryan Newman (3) and Kurt Busch. Newman scored the first ever Chase victory at Dover in 2004 while Busch lead 44 laps en route to victory last fall.

Carl Edwards on racing at Dover International Speedway: “I’ve been looking forward to Dover for a while now. That’s a great race track for all of our Roush Fenway Fords. I love the race track, it’s a grueling race, qualifying is exciting and difficult, pit stops are tough, it’s just a really challenging race track. I look forward to hopefully having some of the success we’ve had there in the past.”
