NASCAR Cup Series

Kevin Harvick and the No. 29 Budweiser Folds of Honor Chevrolet team return to Charlotte Motor Speedway for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race as defending champions of the Memorial Day Weekend Coca-Cola 600.

Dodge’s most recent win at the 1.5-mile track was two years ago in the Coca-Cola 600. Kurt Busch led 252 of the 400 laps en route to the win.

Biffle on racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway: “The Coca-Cola 600 is the longest race of the season and we are back to points racing this weekend so it’s important to finish well. We’ve been running well at Charlotte so I think we’ll definitely have a good run in our No. 16 Fastenal Ford this weekend."

This week RFR turns its attention to Charlotte Motor Speedway and the longest event of the season; the Coca-Cola 600. Roush Fenway will look for its fifth win in the famed 600-mile event, while adding to a Charlotte legacy that includes 20 NASCAR victories and almost 75,000 laps turned.

Carl Edwards on racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway: “I’m looking forward to the Coca-Cola 600. We had a fast Ford Fusion at the All-Star race and a night race at Charlotte Motor Speedway is always fun."

Kenseth on racing at Charlotte: “Track conditions can change a lot during the 600 since it can start out hot and sunny which makes the track slick, and that can entirely change by the end of the race."

Michael Waltrip Racing announced today a multi-year contract extension with TRD, U.S.A. (Toyota Racing Development) to keep the organization in the Toyota camp for years to come.

Since 2001 EGR drivers have made 56 starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, accumulating three victories (2001, 2002, 2010), six top-fives and 15 top-10s. EGR drivers have led a total of 372 laps and have completed 17,983 of 19,855 laps (91%).

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) and TRD, U.S.A. (Toyota Racing Development) today formally introduced the new 2013 Toyota Camry that will compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) beginning next season at TRD's Salisbury, N.C. facility.
