NASCAR Cup Series

Each race weekend, selected Dodge Motorsports engineers, Penske Racing crew chiefs, engineers, drivers or engine specialists give their insight on the ‘Keys for Success’ for the upcoming race. This week, the green flag drops at Martinsville Speedway and the TUMS Fast Relief 500.

Qualifying for Sunday's Tums Fast Relief 500 was cancelled due to rain, meaning the starting lineup will be set via the NASCAR rule book. As a result, Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth will start on the front row by virtue of them being first and second, respectively, in the point standings. Both drivers visited the Martinsville infield media center to talk about their good fortune.

Persistent precipitation has forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway, race seven in the 2011 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The 43-car field has been set by the provisions set forth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) rulebook.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice had to be cancelled on Friday at Martinsville Speedway due to rain. A practice session is now scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Saturday prior to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series qualifying at 10:40 a.m.

Any NASCAR Sprint Cup driver, still in contention for the Sprint Cup Chase for the Championship, will tell you that the seven day gap between race number six and seven on the Chase schedule has been hectic.
