AmericanMuscle’s (AM) Justin Dugan just received the inside scoop on some 2020 GT500 details straight from Ford Motor Company, which is the focus in today’s episode of AM’s Mustang News. While these details aren’t power or weight related, Ford did share some new GT500 details and images with AM for the first time today.

Newman will make his 25th start at Auto Club Speedway this weekend. In 24 prior starts, Newman has nine top-10 and five top-five finishes at the 2-mile track.

DIBENEDETTO BY THE NUMBERS: In four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career starts at Auto Club Speedway, Matt DiBenedetto has an average start of 32.8 and an average finish of 32.2.  He’s completed 804 of 816 (98.5 percent) career laps at the 2.0-mile track in Fontana, California.

“I'm looking forward to going to Auto Club Speedway this weekend. It will still be a learning experience, even though we've seen this package at Vegas and Atlanta. I think we'll see more cars staying wide open for longer periods of time."

Stenhouse has six Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS)starts at Auto Club with an average starting position of 21.7 andaverage finishing position of 19.0.

Phoenix Recap: Denny Hamlin scored a fifth-place finish at ISM Raceway in Phoenix on Sunday, pushing his way into the top five in the final stage of the race. Denny rolled off third in the #11 FedEx Freight Toyota to start the 312-mile race but battled a loose condition for much of the event.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series makes its yearly visit to Auto Club Speedway this weekend with the new Ford Mustang looking to continue its strong start. Mustang has a streak of three straight MENCS poles and two victories through the first four weeks of the season.
