Michigan Preview: The Series heads to Michigan International Speedway for Sunday’s race around the two-mile oval with Hamlin looking to capture his third win in the Irish Hills. Hamlin finished fourth in this event last year collecting his seventh top-five finish at the Michigan fast track.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series return to Michigan International Speedway this weekend while the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competes Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway.

"I always find it's a challenging weekend because when you start out the weekend for practice on Friday, the track is one groove-wide and it doesn't really widen out until the end of final practice on Saturday. It's a challenge to get your car set up off the truck and get a good feel for the race in our No. 47 Kroger ClickList Camaro ZL1, but we're up for the challenge."

He’s completed 5,224 of 5,479 (95.3 percent) career laps and has led for a total of 67 laps. Kahne has earned one win, eight top-five, 10 top-10 finishes, and three poles at the 2.0-mile track.

Martin Truex Jr. will most likely have an extra bounce in his step when he gets to Michigan International Speedway for Sunday’s Firekeepers Casino 400.
